My first long awaited DIY Mask Lesson…

Recipe:

1 teaspoon of protein powder

1 tablet of vitamin C

1 tablet of Lecithin-E

1 teaspoon of UMF 18+ Active Manuka Honey

2 drops of Skin Refinishing Lotion

2 drops of Pure White Essence

2 drops of Delicate Care Toner

1 teaspoon of Moisture Intense Masque

1 masque sheet from Sasa

I don’t know if many people have done DIY facial mask at home or not. I remembered Channel News Asia showing DIY facial mask using fresh fruits like papaya and watermelon, cucumber, milk and honey. I always wanted to try a papaya facial mask. The goodness of papaya was highlighted for a much longer duration in the programme that drew a lot of my attention.

Papaya is rich in an enzyme called papain, which has strong anti-viral property, has great “softening” effect, which encourages soft and supple skin, and most importantly urges cell renewal. Women in the olden days have been using papaya to maintain a youthful and radiant skin.

I was eager to try out papaya mask however a little “google” to found out that careless use of papaya can cause skin reaction. Because papaya is known to release a latex fluid when not quite ripe, which can irritation and provoke allergic reaction in some people.

My face was having a reaction then. And it itched terribly too. So, there went my adventure on DIY facial mask.

2 months later, a friend asked if I’m interested in a DIY mask lesson. I was quite skeptical initially.
